«SymondPark» development
In Davos, on the former site of «Holland House», the Dutch Asthma Centre, Mettler Entwickler AG has developed an impressive project called «SymondPark». Hotel, living, shopping, dining – all under one roof.
This project involves not only the construction of a new hotel, but also a supermarket branch with a restaurant, which is operated by the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland. In addition to these facilities, 19 exclusive apartments have been built in the new development, which offer direct access to the hotel’s wellness area.
Focus on the landscape
«SymondPark» is ideally located in the immediate vicinity of the Congress Centre in Davos Platz. The concept of this project was developed to create sustainable living spaces that blend harmoniously into the surroundings and the scenic beauty of Davos, all while respecting the principles of value creation and quality.
The special features of the new building
The new building sets new standards for eco-friendly design, achieving exemplary energy efficiency through the innovative use of groundwater heating.
The architecture of the new building honours the historic architecture through the characteristic wooden verandas, while integrating state-of-the-art design principles and materials to create a contemporary aesthetic.
With light-flooded rooms, direct access to the wellness area and the integration of natural materials, the project offers a quality of living that combines well-being and harmony with the environment.
4-star jewel in the Alps
The brand new «Swiss Mountain Hotel Davos» is a 4-star hotel in the renowned AMERON Collection, part of the Althoff Hotels Group. With 148 guest rooms, junior suites and family rooms, the hotel offers excellent accommodation. It has a variety of cosy rooms, including a spacious lounge and bar, a reading corner and an in-house restaurant. There are also various versatile multi-purpose rooms that can be used for both private and business events. A particular highlight of the hotel is the spacious and modern Vitality Spa.
Exclusive dream living
In the attractive location of Davos, 24 spacious apartments with exclusive interior fittings form the south-western part of the modern new building. They are characterised by their elegant interior design, the use of state-of-the-art materials, light and airy spaces and direct access to the spa and wellness area, making them a truly exclusive place to live.
Shopping and leisure along the promenade
The new supermarket branch with restaurant extends along the promenade over an area of around 4,500 m², inviting visitors to shop and linger. An underground car park with 296 publicly accessible parking spaces was also built as part of the new development.
Innovative new build mixed with tradition
The entire new building primarily uses environmentally friendly heating energy obtained from groundwater and uses a remarkably low amount of energy. The project combines tradition and modernity: the façade with its striking verandas made of solid wood is closely modelled on the historic building. These verandas not only extend the living space to the outside, but also provide protection for the façade and serve as a versatile, sheltered outdoor area.

Thanks to the development and the new use, significant economic impetus will also be created in the region. Around 100 jobs will be created for the operation of the hotel. A further 50 or so jobs are expected in the Migros area.
